  A Successful First Fundraising Event
Heroes For Kids Foundation
   
  In December 2003, the Heroes for Kids Foundation
successfully hosted their first fundraising comedy
night. Two comedians from the Just For Laughs
Festival Maxim Leblanc and Martin Philippe, a
magician Stéphane Caron and a band CO2
performed, helping to make the night a memorable
success. With over 100 people in attendance, more
than $3,000 dollars was raised for hospitalized
children in the Montreal area. The proceeds from this
event went towards the purchase of over 300 Christmas
gifts for sick children unable to return home for the
holidays. With the assistance of Pierrot, the balloon maker,
Santa distributed the gifts to children at Charles Lemoyne,
Shriners and the Montreal Children’s Hospital in the greater
Montreal area, proving to children that Santa could find them even if they
were unable to return home for Christmas.
